| | Beach Class Policies & Procedures | How to Purchase a Class Pass June-class pass (Approximately 14 classes) = $85 Single-class pass = $17 - Class passes CANNOT be purchased on the beach. All class passes MUST be purchased in advance via phone or online.
- After you purchase a class pass, please bring your receipt to the beach to receive your class pass from the instructor.
- You may share your class pass with a friend.
- Class passes can be used for ONLY yoga classes during the designated month.
- Class passes expire on July 2, 2010. The class passes cannot be used AFTER July 2, 2010.
- We need to have 8 participants pre-register for the June class to run the class. Please spread the word!
Where to Meet - Please arrive to class approximately 5-minutes prior to the start time. You will find the instructor wearing an Escape 2 Fitness shirt
- Ohio Beach classes will take place on the Far East end of the beach on the sand, close to the shoreline. This is the end of the beach, furthest away from Lake Shore Drive. Your instructor will be have her mat laid out on the sand, so you can see her.
- Oak Street Beach classes will take place on the concrete just south of the restaurant, Oak Street Beachstro. The instructor will have her mat laid out and ready for class.
- If no participants are present at the beginning of class start time, the instructor will wait for 15-minutes in chance of late arrivals. Class will still take place even if there is just one participant.
Who Can Participant - All participants must sign an Escape 2 Fitness waiver prior to their first class. Your instructor will have waivers onsite for participants to sign.
- All participants must be at least 18 years old.
- All fitness and yoga levels are welcome. Instructors and trainers will offer modifications for different levels.
What to Bring - Please bring a large beach towel, sheet, or mat to class. It is your preference. Often yoga participants bring both a towel and a mat. We recommend having a “beach” mat that can get sandy and a separate mat for the studio.
- Please bring a water bottle (or two), sun block, and sunglasses.
What to Wear - Wear comfortable, workout clothes. Layers are recommended. It is difficult to do yoga in baggy clothes. Yoga classes are done barefoot.
When It Rains & When It's Cold - If it rains within 30-minutes of class-start time, the class will be cancelled. For example, if it rains between 8:30-8:59pm, the 9:00am class will be cancelled. If it rains at 8:00am and stops raining at 8:29am, the 9:00am class will take place. We do not have a weather phone line to call. Our office is closed on weekends. This is the BEST policy we can come up with to avoid confusion.
- Class is cancelled if the temperature is below 55 degrees Celcius.
- There are no make-up classes.
When the Schedule Changes - If you would like to request a class be placed on the schedule, please email contactus@escape2fitness.com. Please specify the beach, class type, and time. Please note, the summer of 2007, Ohio Beach’s environment was not conducive for conducting classes in the evening, so we have chosen to not host classes in the evenings at that beach.
- The July class pass will be available for purchase on June 14, 2010.
